John Galliano was definitely inspired by the fifties which is one of my favorite decade for fashion because women knew how to dress glamorous even if they were just taking out the trash. The architectural silhouettes were breathtaking with ruffles, voluminous coats and tulle dresses. The colors included lavender, chartreuse, tint of gray and black and white. Granted mere mortals can not pull these looks off but any one who wears Christian Dior is not your average person. Even though it was only one African-American model (Chanel Iman) featured in the show, I was still in fashion heaven once again!
