Woman Of Style: Desiree Rogers

Intelligent, beautiful and stylish are the three words that best describe Desiree Rogers. The Harvard graduate exudes sophistication from head to toe.

The first African-American White House Social Secretary is part of the exclusive trio in Chicago which includes Valerie Jarrett, an advisor to President Barack Obama and Linda Johnson Rice, President and publish executive of Ebony magazine. These women are the driving force of Chicago elites. Desiree was married to John W. Rogers Jr. They have one daughter together named Victoria who is attending Yale University.

Rogers' style is simply impeccable. Her wardrobe is professional without being boring and stuffy. She injects her own unique personal style to give her garments some omph. Her favourite designers are Valentino, Viktor and Rolf and Comme des Garcons. When in Chicago she frequents the fashion-forward boutique Ikram because they carry all of the avant garde and innovative designers.

Besides First Lady Michelle Obama and Jacqueline Kennedy, It's such a pleasure to see such grace and style in the white house for a change.
