How to Buy Lingerie when Pregnant

How to Buy Lingerie when Pregnant

Buying lingerie when you are pregnant can be daunting, especially if you have never been fitted for a bra before now and pregnancy is suddenly forcing you to take control of those uncontrollable boobs! Buying bras when you're pregnant isn't daunting and can be very satisfying!

1. Get fitted as soon as you find out you are pregnant, even if you don't think you have grown. The milk ducts in your breasts start to develop straight away and therefore there must be nothing that will hinder the growth or development of these.

2. Try to avoid wired bras when you are pregnant, because your bust is changing shape and size all the time, even if it's only a little. If you wear a wire and the bra is too small for you, the wire can dig in and hurt, but worst of all it can hinder the development of your milk ducts. If however you are further down the line and have been wearing non - wired bras and find them uncomfortable then it is your choice if you chose to wear wired bras. HOWEVER, you must get regularly checked (at least once a month or sooner if you feel like you have grown).[wikihow.com]

How to Buy and Wear Thong Underwear Without Your Parents Knowing

How to Buy and Wear Thong Underwear Without Your Parents Knowing

You've begged, whined, and pleaded. You've promised to never, ever ask for anything again if you can just buy one single thong. Your parents have steadfastly replied, "No." There are many reasons why your mom or dad might deny your request, but here's how to buy and wear a thong without your parents knowing!

1. Go shopping alone so you don't have your mom or dad knowing what you are buying.

2. Pick a simple white thong, with no lace or anything that will stick out, because then you can hide it with your other white underwear.

3. Pay with cash, so the purchase won't show up on a credit card bill.

4. Shred, tear up and/or flush the receipt, so your parents can't find it.

5. Make some other clothing purchases separately, and keep the receipt for these parent-approved items. Coming home with a ton of clothes and no receipt looks pretty suspicious!

6. Conceal the thong at the bottom of the bigger bag containing the other, parent-safe clothes. Throw away the bag from the lingerie store before you leave the mall.

7. Wash your delicates when your parents aren't home, so they can't see what's in your wash. Hang them in your bedroom somewhere that they can't see.

8. Wear them wisely! Don't wear them with low-rise jeans that show them when you bend over. Wear them with shorts or a longer skirt. A dress is also valid.

9. If you want another thong after this one, repeat these steps.

10. Keep your secret safe. Be sure to look at the tips and the warnings, they are very important.[wikihow.com]

5 Tips for Buying Lingerie for Your Any Body Type

If there's one time of year that has women sizing up their lingerie drawers, it's February.

Valentine's Day gives many of us that extra incentive to up the sexy-style -- and heat -- meter in the undergarment department. But shopping for all things flimsy, frilly and revealing can also send us racing straight to the Hershey Kiss jar in a stress-induced panic.

Instead of filling up on chocolate (when we really want the real thing), we asked style expert Lindsay Albanese for some helpful hints to help inspire confidence and add some sweet spice to the holiday.

"When wearing lingerie, it's all about flaunting your best assets and camouflaging the areas you don't love as much," Albanese tells StyleList. "Focus on the part of your body that you like or feel is your best asset, and wear things that flaunt that area of the body."

If your bust is small: "Tiered ruffles around the bust will add volume," Albanese says. "Anything with underwire will give you a lift, and halter styles also pull the bust up and in, to create more cleavage."

If your bust is big: "Try bandeau styles," she says, "or anything with a plunging neckline or ruffle trim."

If you'd like to disguise a big booty: "Go with skimpy boy shorts," Albanese says.

If you're trying to narrow those hips and thighs: "Anything that is sheer that hits mid-thigh will work," she says. "Silk robes are also great because you can cinch them at the waist."

If you're fighting the dreaded muffin top: "Corsets take 2 to 3 inches off your waist," Albanese advises. "They are your best bet. Also babydoll camisoles, or tunic-style tanks will help slim the waistline."[stylelist.com]
